Psychotherapy Services

Individual virtual talk therapy for clients based in New York State. My services are delivered through the Alma platform for in-network and out-of-network clients. Visit my “Get In Touch” page to learn how you may request a free 15 minute consulation. The consultation call will serve to determine if I am the right fit for your needs before moving forward with and intake session and any further engagement in therapy sessions.

My ideal clients are adults (18+) who are navigating burnout coupled with at least one of the following:

Parenting challenges:  No one handed you a guidebook that said “here’s how to parent a child during a time of high social media influence and possibly a pandemic”. Not to mention having a child with unique developmental, emotional, and/or behavioral needs. On top of that add your own personal life and/or professional stressors. And everyone is giving you advice but no one really gets it. . . Phew. While a child and adolescent therapist may be able to provide tools for your child and skills to improve your relationship, sometimes you also need your own space to process. I’m offering this space just for you! These would be individual adult therapy sessions focused on helping you find your balance. Whether that’s specifically focusing on the challenges of parenting and engaging in parent coaching, or having a space to vent about juggling it all, you deserve your own support.

Anxiety: You’re in your head, and it’s so hard not to be. When we are constantly reading, looking at, and hearing about such terrible things happening around the world, in our country, our cities, our neighborhoods, maybe also within our families - it is no wonder our nervous systems can become sensitized and agitated. You’re not sleeping well, you feel more on edge, you feel even a bit paranoid and less trusting of others and situations. And maybe you’ve always been this way, always catastrophizing. But now you’ve had enough. You realize you want to feel better, feel more confident & not allow anxiety to continue to stop you from the life you deserve to be living. I’m here to guide you through that.

Relationship issues (& people pleasing): Are you everyone’s go-to person but feel like you don’t have someone that you can go to who really understands you? You may find yourself consistently going the extra mile to make others happy, which is sometimes a pleasing feeling, but in the end you’re burnt out. You feel like others aren’t appreciative of your efforts. Maybe others have expressed having trouble getting close to you, which is confusing. You begin to feel resentment toward the people in your life. Why are relationships so complicated when you’re just trying to do the right thing for everyone all of the time? Let’s untangle this together.

Life Transitions: Career changes, becoming a parent, losing a loved one, getting married, getting divorced, health status changes, moving from your place of origin… the list goes on. In general we all understand that life will have periods of change. Someone used to change your diapers and now you’re an adult with responsibilites. But while we may be conscious of this concept, the reality of navigating life transitions can feel extremely tough. Life transitions require not only an adjustment in our daily routines, but also acceptance that there is now a change in our identity, our roles, relationships and how we perceive life. That can feel really unsettling for many of us and so difficult to face. But you’re ready to face this change that, and I’m here to help.

Paying for therapy

I offer 60 minute individual therapy sessions, on a weekly or bi-weekly basis. Frequency is determined by availability and my clinical recommendation based on the assessment of your area(s) of concern.

Understanding my rate

I’m happy to provide transparency regarding billing and payment as this is crucial to our professional relationship and your experience in therapy.

My private pay rate is: $200/hr. This rate accounts for:

  • Dedicated time spent with you during the hour.

  • Personalized treatment plan and recommendations based on your unique challenges and goals.

  • Time spent collaborating with other providers you work with (psychiatrist, primary care doctor, care manager, etc), if applicable.

  • Time spent outside of the session for documentation (insurance submissions, record keeping, letter requests, referrals, etc).

  • Time (& costs) spent attending continuing education trainings and workshops to remain knowledgable about the best evidenced based interventions and tools that may benefit you.

Payment options

  • Private Pay: I accept credit cards, as well as HSA/FSA debit cards. I do not accept cash or checks.

  • Insurance: I accept some insurance and am in-network with Aetna and Cigna (and some of their subsidaries). Please visit my Alma profile for more information.

    • To determine your copay or coinsurance amount I advise contacting your insurance directly. While Alma’s website offer’s a cost estimator tool, this may not always be the most accurate.

  • Out-of-Network: If I am not in-network or do not accept the insurance you have, I can provide you with a superbill that you may submit to your insurance company to assist with receving reimbursement. I advise contacting your insurance directly to inquire about out-of-network benefits as reimbursement rates can vary widely.

  • Sliding Scale: If the above payment options do not work for you and you cannot afford the private pay rate, I do offer sliding scale. Please reach out to me directly so that we may determine your reduced rate.
